Speech Level Singing, a technique developed by Seth Riggs, trains singers to maintain their larynx stable and close their cords throughout their entire vocal range to avoid harming their voice. Proper training ensures an extensive vocal career.
An important factor of Speech Level Singing, SLS, is overcoming the bridges known as “passagio.” Singers often experience tension throughout certain areas of their voice, which could lead to breaks in the voice. Through SLS technique, singers will learn to gradually mix their voice avoiding any breaks. This will eventually lead to a larger vocal range without any breaks in the voice.
With this vocal technique, singers overcome physical challenges that block them from reaching their full vocal capacity while preserving their vocal chords healthy and strong.
